Has there ever been someone in your life that only talks to you when they need something or want something?  I have seen that people are like that sometimes with God. Some people go to church only when someone is dying of cancer or some other tragedy like a divorce has struck their home. But I suspect that there are more people that talk to God only when they want Him to fix something. If that is you remember Psalm 50:15 “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” The good news is that God indeed want you to call on Him in your day of trouble.  But why? The second part of that verse tells you that He will deliver you so that you can glorify him.  Do you give glory to God when He delivers you from some trouble?  I hope so.  Also note, Psalm 50:14 “Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High”.  Have you done that too, or just came wanting something?
