I do not know about you, but I certainly walk by sight at times. Your child breaks a bone, you have several appointments in one day (each at other ends of the world), and you have comittments to last you all week. Sound familar? At those times my sight is on earthly things, until a Sister or Brother brings the Light of the Lord back to me. Today, I received one such email. This email reminded me that the schedule I keep has a purpose. The purpose is to effect things for an eternal purpose. I was thankful for the gratitude expressed in the email, and was reminded that I do what I do simply so another can be touched by the love of God. Those types of communication keep me focused properly! Now my mind was back on eternal things instead of temporal things. II Corinthians 4:18 reminds us: “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” How’s your focus today??
