We know that the world and everything in it was formed by the very word of God. This is some incredible power! Then I read in II Peter 3:7a “But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store” Not only does God’s word have creating power, but also sustaining power. According to the Psalms we are wonderfully made by God. How reassuring to know that He also has power to sustain us and the rest of His creation as well.
