In Luke 22 right after Jesus foretells of Peter denial of Him, Scripture records a conversation that Jesus had with the disciples. In verse 35 we read “And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye anything? And they said Nothing.” Now, the purse was a pouch that carried money and the scrip was a pouch that carried food. So Jesus had sent them out with no money, no food, and no shoes for the journey yet they lacked nothing when the journey was finished. Humanly speaking this is not possible, but with God all things are possible. Jesus sent the disciples on a mission and met their needs. Has God sent you on a mission? Then He will provide for your needs also.
