The book of Jonah is just 4 small chapters, but it tells us about the blessing of the storm. While it is not fun being in a storm, storms can be blessings. In the beginning of the book of Jonah, we see Jonah trying to run away from the presence of God (Jonah 1:3a). While Jonah runs away from God, God sends a storm just for him. Don’t take my word for it…go ahead and read Jonah 1:4: “But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty temptest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.” Did you catch that? God sent the storm to the ship Jonah was in. Are you in a storm? Look for Him, you just might find Him there waiting for you.
