I am hearing more and more people omit repentance from a necessary part of a relationship with Jesus. I scratch my head with this one, because it makes no earthly sense to me. You see in Matthew 4: 17 it states “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Why then if Jesus said to repent, do we become arrogant or stiff necked and say repentance is not necessary? Repentance is necessary…Jesus said so.
