It seems though no matter which way we turn: tv, radio, social media, or eveninĀ  the grocery store or in our own homes, there is someone who wants war. Take a look at Psalm 120:5-7 and read it carefully before continuing.

Opposition seems to abound, yet it seems equally to abound in a location. In this Psalm war has a dwelling place… among the tents of Kedar. This is not surprising though, as there are areas in even our communities that are known for being places of war. What I do see the Psalmist saying is that he dwelt there too long, signifying he could have maybe dwelt somewhere else. Which begs a question of you and me: are we dwelling in places and conversations of war, when we could be in places of peace?
