Sadly, from time to time I do hear someone tell me of how someone implied or directly told them they were not a good enough Christian because of past sins that were committed. Then this dear Christian one then struggles with the label and even starts doubting what their standing with God actually is.  Let’s look at Romans 8:1 for some guidance, it says “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”  While sin does disqualify one for certain types of service (Titus 1: the elder and bishop, I Timothy 3: the bishop); it does not condemn the Christian who has confessed and is now living in the spirit, instead of the flesh. There is so much to be done in the local church that sin does not disqualify one for, if you are confessed up and living in the spirit not the flesh. What the real issue comes after you are confessed up and living in the spirit (or not for that matter)… Does Jesus’ blood have the power to forgive sins or not?
