Happy Labor Day! I hope you are blessed today to take a rest. Labor Day makes me think of Genesis 2:2 “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” This verse has always amazed me! Here we have the all knowing, all powerful God resting. I do not know about you, but after a week of hard labor I enjoy a rest. As of a matter of fact that rest feels heavenly. The rest is very much welcomed. God rested when He made an end to the work He had done, work that He called good at the end of each day. How good a rest is after we have completed a project. Rest instituted by God and so enjoyed by me.
