In Jonah chapter 4 we get to see a situation, up close and personal. Have you ever had a situation that you was stuck in? Go ahead and read Jonah 4:1-3. Here we see Jonah angry, but how long has this situation been brewing? He was not happy with the situation when God first spoke to him (1:1-3). He was distressed in the belly of the fish (2:2). Now in verse 1, we see not only is he distressed but also angry because of God was gracious and merciful to those that lived in Nineveh. Jonah is in a situation where he is upset because of what others did (people of Nineveh repented and God showed mercy) and because his heart is in the wrong place. Are you in a situation that you need a heart adjustment?
