Have you come to a  place in your life that you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior? (I sincerely hope so.) Then life continues and you come to a place where you know God wants to do something but you do not know what and you certainly do not know why God would use you for whatever task He has in mind? I have been there and am there again. Mark 9 speaks to my heart during times like these.

You see a father did not give up on finding help for his son, who was possessed of a foul spirit.  He came to Jesus and asked of help for his son. Jesus tells him in verse 23 “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”  I find the father’s response most interesting in verse 24 “And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” He recognized that he believed, but still needed help to believe more. Oh, that salvation would not be the stopping place for us, but rather the starting place.

When God has you in a place to do something big and you are at a point of doubting…cry out “Lord, I believe, please help me in my unbelief”
