Jonah has given us plenty of examples of good times to talk to God, but he is not finished yet. Read Jonah 2:7. Jonah was identifying with end-of-life matters, he thought his life was coming to a close. While this is a good time to talk to God, I would not recommend waiting for that time as many do not get the benefit of a fainting a way of life, some experience sudden death. Jonah saw no hope for the future and turned to talk to God, smart man I would say! Is life fleeing from you, have you lost all hope of another day? If so, this is a great time to talk to God!
