A Sister in Christ sent me an email yesterday that touched my heart, because of the Scripture she attached to the email. The Scripture had to do with Facing the Giants (title from a Christian movie); the giants in our Christian walk. The Scripture she gave me was from Psalms 37. If you get a chance read Psalm 37:1-9, as it shows God taking care of His children, and taking care of the giants as we walk in the way. These verses give us clear instruction on how to conduct ourselves:
Fret not (verse 1)
Trust in the Lord and do good (verse 3)
Delight yourself in the Lord (verse 4)
Commit your way to the Lord (verse5)
Rest in the Lord and wait (verse 7)
Cease from anger (verse 8)
We have these little things to do, and many blessings from God come as a result:
evildoers cut down like grass and cut off (verses 1, 7, 8, 9) The protection of God from the giants.
dwell in the land and be fed (verse 3) The provision of God regardless of the giants.
the desires of your heart (verse 4) The spoiling of God inspite of the giants who try to steal it from you.
God will make it happen (verse 5) The sovereignty of God over the giants.
