Do you have a fear of failure? You are in great company!! It seems to me that Moses feared failure as well. Lets look at Exodus 4:1,10: “And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee….And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.” He was afraid if he delivered the message no one would believe, because after all his speech was not the best.
Have you been there? I have. God told me to do something and instead of focusing on Him, I focused on my shortcomings, not unlike Moses here. But unlike Moses in this passage I would like to have a different response to all future callings of God. I would like my focus to be on Him, not my shortcomings.
