Faith is more than the element by which you are saved (Ephesians 2:8). In Hebrews 11; known as the Hall of Faith, we see that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (v1). Then the chapter starts getting exciting…v3 shows us that it is faith that allows us to understand how the world was framed, v4 faith is what caused Abel to offer a excellent sacrifice, v5 faith caused Enoch not to see death, v6 faith makes it possible to please God, v7 faith made Noah a heir of righteousness, v8 faith caused obedience in Abraham, and v9 faith made Sarah able to conceive. I see in God’s Word faith doing many things and causing many things. It makes me wonder what is my faith doing and causing? If faith is doing nothing it is dead (James 2:26). So, how is your faith meter doing?
