Have you heard a little voice say to you is that so?  If so, beware!  In Genesis 3:1 we see Satan using that tactic with Eve “Yeah, hath God said…” Now turn to Matthew 4:3 & 6: Satan says to Jesus “If thou be the Son of God…” Did you catch the tempter’s line of attack? Is that so, is it really true?

Think of the “Is that so?” lines Satan tries to use with Christians:

1. Is that so?….God can’t use you, you are a failure     2.  Is that so?…God can’t really use you, you sinner you    3. Is that so?…God didn’t really save you, you aren’t worth it  4. Is that so?…God can’t use you, you are divorced   5.  Is that so?…God can’t use you, you once were an addict    6.  Is that so?… God can’t use you, (you fill in the blank)

The truth is that God uses our weakness, He is shown strong in our weakness, in our weakness God’s power is shown.  II Corinthians 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

So, the next time the tempter says to you “Is it so?” With all confidence you can say it is so, as God is the one who will be shown strong not my weakness.
